ABOUT CARMEN…
CARMEN MENDOZA is an actor, dancer, singer and comedienne. Her TV comedy credits include co-star and guest star roles on the Emmy Awarding-winning TBS show Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Comedy Central’s Alternatino and recently The Lat Show with Stephen Colbert. She’s also had co-star roles in the Dick Wolf franchises of Law & Order: Organized Crime and FBI: Most Wanted.
She made her Off-Broadway debut in the smash hit musical comedy, KATDASHIANS, THE MUSICAL! in the lead role of “Kim Katdashian”. The musical, a parody of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS and the Kardashians, garnered national coverage by CNN, the New York Times and the HuffPost to name a few.
Carmen is also a dance educator in New York City elementary schools with artist residencies supported by Ballet Hispánico and Dancing Classrooms. She’s danced on the distinguished stages of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Salvatore Capezio Theater and before the United Nations Assembly.
Additionally, she’s performed in the celebrated comedy theaters of iO Chicago, Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The People’s Improv Theater. As the creator of Comedy for Democracy, a hub of comedic content that informs and inspires people to take civic action, she wrote, produced and directed their first PSA campaign, “Mean Girls Vote”.
As a voice actor with a range, Carmen’s voiced characters for Rockstar Games and narrated political ads such as the Spanish TV & Radio ads for the successful senatorial campaign of former astronaut, Captain Mark Kelly.
